We are affiliated to the British Humanist Association and come together to discuss relevant issues and to meet up with those of a like mind.</p> <p>We believe that the growth of fundamentalist religious beliefs can represent a real threat. Although we have no wish to dictate what other people think we are firmly of the view that personal beliefs are essentially private matters and should have no influence in our legislative system or our state-funded education system.</p> <p>The Group aims to campaign for those issues both locally and nationally and aspires to grow to provide a local voice.
